Brief Summary of Unit
The mathematical focus of this unit is to introduce children to coins. Students will learn about coins and work to identify their names and values by working with coin manipulatives. This unit also introduces children to time. Children will work with clocks, and develop an understanding of the parts of a clock. They will learn to tell time to the hour. Students will also learn about data by sorting objects by attributes and by creating, taking, and analyzing surveys.

The numbers on a clock help to tell the time.
